So I played this hand tonight and can't decide if I made a good laydown or not. I'm in the SB, someone raises to $6 from middle position. 2 calls ahead of me, I call. Flop comes K J A rainbow. I figure I have the strongest hand, so I bet $12 into a pot of $24. Villain calls, everyone else folds. Flop comes 2 of diamonds so now there's two diamonds on the board, I have none of them. I bet half pot again, $24, and villain raises to $60. I call. Turn comes 5 of clubs, I check, villain bets $120 into a pot of $168, I fold. Here was my thinking. What hands would he be bluffing here? I can't really think of anything. MAYBE he was value betting Ace ten suited or ace queen suited with diamonds, especially because he would have picked up the nut flush draw on the turn which could have been the reason for the raise. However, given how wet the board was and the fact that I was betting and called a reraise, I think he probably would have checked the river on these hands as the pot was already huge. Also, with AQs he could have 3-bet preflop. I think it's much more likely that he was holding Q 10, AJ (although I obviously block the jack with mine), or even possibly A2, all of which beat me. If I had the Ax two pair I would have called, but the fact that I had basically the worst possible two pair here made me fold. Did I make a bad laydown in your opinion? Also, unfortunately I didn't really have any reads on him because he had just sat down. I feel like I made a good fold here, and I'm kind of proud that I laid it down, but it also could have been completely wrong. I just had a gut feeling that I was beat.
